Notifications

What Walletguide tells you about, where it reaches you, and how the per-wallet email preferences work.

Notifications are per wallet and per person: two people in one wallet can have entirely different email settings.

In the app

The notifications view lists what has happened in the wallet — a bank connection that needs re-authorising, a background job that finished or failed, activity from someone you share with. Unread ones are marked; the list is the record.

Email

Three switches, each per person per wallet:

Weekly summaryWhere you stand and what moved, once a week
Monthly summaryThe same, over a month, with the period comparison
NotificationsIndividual events as they happen, rather than batched

Turning all three off is fine and leaves the in-app list working.

Bank connections that need attention

The one to act on. Banks expire consent on a schedule of their own, often every 90 days, and a connection that has lapsed stops importing silently. That notification is the thing standing between you and a report quietly going stale — see bank connections.
