Overview
How data gets into Walletguide: bank connections, securities prices, crypto rates, and your own files.
Walletguide reads. It connects to banks, brokers and price sources to keep your assets current, and it never moves money.
Bank connections
Balances and transactions from your bank, refreshed automatically.
Securities
Prices for the instruments in your portfolios.
Crypto
Daily rates for the coins you hold.
Your own files
CSV and statements, for anything without a connection.
Nothing here is required
An entirely manual wallet works. Connections save typing; they are not the product. Plenty of what belongs in a net worth — a flat, a car, a private holding — has no connection to make, and those assets count the same as the automated ones.
What connections can do
Read balances, read transactions, read prices. That is the whole list. No connection can initiate a payment, and Walletguide never holds your banking credentials: those go to the provider, who returns an access token scoped to reading.
